Classy Flowers's video: Costa Rica Travel Documentary From South To North

@Costa Rica. Travel Documentary. From South To North.
The first place where we arrived is called Playa Samara. We flew to Liberia, the provincial capital of Guanacaste, at the second largest international airport after San Jose. Now it is a new modern airport, and just a few years ago it was just an open shed with fans and without air conditioning and with rows of seats for passengers waiting for departure. At the airport, upon arrival, we were met by a driver, with whom we contacted in advance and agreed on the Internet. He was supposed to take us to our residence on the Samara beach. To begin with, we decided not to rent the car ourselves, for reasons which I will explain to you later. A one-way trip from Liberia to Samara on a comfortable bus cost us $ 120 and took 2.5 hours. The road to Samara is relatively good, the picturesque views of Costa Rica in this place are represented mainly by agricultural fields on which sugarcane, bananas, papaya and other tropical crops are grown, as well as pastures for livestock. Before the voluntary annexation of the province of Guanacasta to Costa Rica in 1814, this was the territory of Nicaragua. Samara is a small touristy village. It has several supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, banks. There is a surf school. Here you can book tourist excursions, go on deep sea fishing, scuba diving, ride a horse, go ziplining, ride a gyrocopter, do yoga and dine at a vegan restaurant. Here you can rent a kayak and swim to the Chora island, a small nature reserve where you can swim in a mask and a snorkel. We spent one day in the Camoranal nature reserve. This reserve was created to protect marine life of mainly three species of sea turtles that come to lay their eggs on the shores of the giant beach. For the first time in fifteen years, in 2006 there was a massive breeding of turtles ashore, a sheltered egg incubator was built on the shore, and biologists and volunteers are trying to restore a lost population of endangered turtles. It is not recommended to swim on the huge Kamoranal beach because of the dangerous rip current in different places. Our next stop is planned at Playa Grande near Tamarindo. This time we rented a car. A car must be rented only from a company with a good reputation, otherwise if you rush to cheapness in the end you will lose more money. Renting a car, along with insurance, local fees and taxes, will cost you about $ 400 per week. But you can't go far in a compact car, it is only good for driving on the main roads, but to see the country you need four by four SUV, which will be plus another $100 per week. It is necessary upon receipt of rental car to take a pictures of a car from all sides inside and outside and even under the hood. At VRBO we have pre-booked Casa Naranja or from the Spanish orange villa, a large house with its own pool, jacuzzi and even a guest house. There were so many such beautiful crabs, which we had to constantly save from the chlorinated pool. The beach itself is huge and almost no one swims in a ocean, because of the giant waves. For one day we booked an excursion to the Palo verde nature reserve, which is from the Spanish translated as green stick. The private tour cost us $ 250 for four people. We were picked up from home, and drive the to the reserve takes just over an hour. There we took a ride on a boat along the river, which is surrounded by tropical thickets. Palo Verde is home to 250 thousand tropical and migratory birds. Here we saw a lot of crocodiles, iguanas, a basil lizard that can walk on the surface of the water, pink spoonbills, ibises, herons, anhingas and other birds, we were shown very interesting fruit bats that spend the day sitting in a ribbon that resembles a snake. thus they protect themselves from predators. The next place of our study was the Conchal beach. Also through VRBO We rented a condominium in the Condor complex. You know that in Costa Rica there are no addresses and street names, but there is a beach, there is a building, but there is no address that can be typed into Google map. We devoted one day to a trip to the volcano, which is located only 23 kilometers from Liberia, Rincon de la vieja, translated from Spanish as the corner of old lady. We drove ourselves without a tour. The volcano that day was completely covered with clouds and it was raining. Access to the top of volcano was closed due to recent awakening activity. The last eruption was in the summer of 2020. Watch next video Wild Costa Rica.
