Can you stay quiet for 45 seconds? We will find out! That is the challenge today.
WHY do this? I don't know how it is for you, but for me, my mind is always talking and that is OK, if only it did not always take me to the worst-case scenario.
If I believe my mind, then I am sure going to fail, OR, I am going to have to work hard to get it all done today.
My mind keeps me in a constant state of fear, if I get it that will be great and if I don't that will be awful.
Problem is... I never "get it" never got the life I wanted or the talent I wanted, or anything. Otherwise, I would be totally happy.
And so it is that the spiritual practice for me is to recognize the mind, to see it work, but NOT HAVE IT CONTROL MY LIFE!
Every time my mind starts talking, the spiritual work is to see the thoughts and NOT buy into them. Instead, I go back to "well-being" which is right behind the chatty mind, right behind the thinking
The universe wants you to be well, to experience the beauty that it is, the well-being it has for you, now.
And it is right here, behind the thinking. But thinking has momentum, that is why this practice comes in handy. For just 45 seconds you can experience well-being.
How much will depend on how much you train to go behind and release all negative thinking
