Newark Ransome and Marles Air Raid - Anniversary commemoration on 7th March 1941 - 2020 in Newark Cemetery at 1.30pm at the Sacrifice Memorial Cross located on the Main Drive. Friends of Newark Cemetery are delighted that Newark Town Mayor Councillor Irene Brown will be coming. Ransome and Marles' Ball Bearings Factory air raid Newark Cemetery Roll of honour called out and Bell ringing and Prayers The Last Post and Reveille by Roger Bryan. It's poignant that we hold this memorial to the workers at R&M who made a large contribution to the war effort they should be remembered. 29 Men and 12 Women were killed and further 165 were injured. We shall never forget them, on this date - let's open our eyes and hearts during this anniversary.
