Buongiorno. Or as we Germans would say: Guten Tag. At Closed we are often asked about our key to success. Obviously, this is a secret. But if you promise to keep it we can make an exception. Since day one, we are producing our designs following three simple rules. First of all: Our Denims are handmade in Italy. 60 hands work on a pair of jeans before you can find them in the store. Here is where the jean finds it shape: for over four decades they’ve been sewn in Ancona. At a place called Paul. We’re a big family! We make friends our partners and partners our friends. We take responsibility – for each other, as well as for others. Rule number Three: Be respectful with the resources nature gives you. We do not use fur, nor angora or downs. When using leather or lambskin we make sure to source bi-products from the food industry. Simply because we think, no animal should be sacrificed just for clothing.
