I don't think I have seen any young teenage characters being so painfully shy and sweet as Zoey, not even Charlie in Perks of a Wallflower. The movie is simple kind of silly fare, just the thing for someone who doesn't want violence, s*x, drug and/or deeply depressing details to invade their enjoyment.
