Clubbins's video: GMOD Unadorned

@[GMOD] Unadorned
PLEASE READ: The following project was made within six months, starting primarily from inspiration from horror films and a love for the animation genre. As part of this project (as it was made for extra A-level grades) there was extensive research into both aspects of the project which had to be linked to other studies. As a result, not only was I able to work on and improve my own animation skills but the ending product became based on a multitude of themes, including Surrealism, Aestheticism and Gothic literature. The main purpose of the project was to demonstrate that animation can be used for any form or genre instead of the stereotypical comedy genre it has been attributed to since Disney and Warner Bros. first brought the illusion of life to screens. The process was long, hard and often tedious but that's one of the reasons I have always loved animating. In the end even though it certainly has its flaws and could easily be improved had I another 6 months or more to work on the project but nevertheless its something I'm proud of and I hope its something the cast can be proud of as well. Its based on many things I have a deep interest in and can be linked to my future desires and career goals and for that reason I feel as though this project is very precious to me. Not because of the way it looks or whether it was a success, but because it taught me so much and has rekindled my desire and inspiration as an amateur animator. Despite the fact that I intend to become an actor as a future career, animation is a hobby I don't think I could ever let go and has maybe even encouraged me to look towards animation as an alternative career. I hope you enjoy the film and I'd like to say a big thank you to my friends who I asked to cast in the film, they were generous enough to give their valuable time for my own project despite A-level pressure and I genuinely cannot thank them enough. Now I can get back to smaller and simpler projects, and I've had plenty of time to come up with ideas. tl;dr - It may not be perfect, but I'm proud of it. Its become something very special to me and I hope you enjoy it too. A thank you to my cast and I'll see you next time :) Its the 1920's and Edgar Downfield has been 'treated' to cure his compulsive alcohol addiction and mental instability. Returning home, he has become a changed man. He's still addicted to alcohol, and he's still mentally unstable but he has no recollection of his past. As Edgar falls into a deep slumber, he will soon discover that you can never hide from your past. No matter how hard you try...
