Cobra Framebuilding's video: TIG Welding a Steel Mountain Bike Frame Front Triangle

Today we're TIG welding the front triangle of my hardtail mountain bike! In the last video, we tack welded the front triangle together in the frame jig, and today we're doing the finish welding. I talk you through a bunch of my thought process along the way. First, I show the setup I have for checking the alignment of the bike frame during the TIG welding process. (I come back to check the alignment just a couple times during welding.) I also mention what I think a more ideal setup for alignment would look like, using an example from Engin Cycles. Then we get into welding out the front triangle of the bike frame. It goes pretty well. The main problem I run into is where the downtube meets the seat tube at the bottom bracket. I had a small hole burn through the down tube right where it came to a point. I explained my thought process for how to go about fixing it. Next, we'll be getting into building out the rear end of the bike frame!
