@Buying Tubing and Materials for a Hardtail MTB Frame Build
Buying bicycle tubing and raw materials is not my favorite step of building a bicycle frame, but it's gotta get done, and there are some helpful tips I can share on the subject. Today I show the websites where I buy straight-gauge 4130 chromoly steel tubing for bike frames, as well as more specialized materials for bicycle frames, including machined headtubes, bottom bracket shells, cable guides, dropouts, and seat collars. Here are the websites featured in the video: Wicks Aircraft and Motorsports: http://www.wicksaircraft.com/index.html Paragon Machine Works: https://www.paragonmachineworks.com/ Nova Cycles Supply: https://www.cycle-frames.com/bicycle-frame-tubing/ Bicycle Fabrication Supply: https://www.bikefabsupply.com/ Here's the playlist of the Hardtail Mountain Bike Frame Build—I'll keep adding to it as we go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0okGsgYBObc&list=PLh0BOtXK_s5edhuy-y5C6E41UT-ZLGukE SUBSCRIBE for more videos on bicycle framebuilding and other shop-related topics: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBIJI-omNmRdt_4LsF-2PrA?sub_confirmation=1 SHOP MY TOOLS: If you're looking for bicycle framebuilding tools: http://cobraframes.net.
