This is the time I played Lewis Capaldi Pointless on the public piano at London St Pancras Train Station. Recently Lewis Capaldi was at Glastonbury and was not able to finish his set because he was struggling with Tourette's, but the fans sung his song for him which must have been an amazing experience. He writes amazing songs with really deep emotional feeling and meaning and Pointless is another one - similar to Someone You Loved and Before You Go. If you listen to the song, or read the lyrics you might think this is about lovers and their relationship, but actually it's about a son's relationship with his mother. I guess this is one that he has written about his mother and how they grew up together and her support. Whilst I have a great love and relationship with my family, I think the bond and relationship with your mother is unique and special - so I really do understand the song and the lyrics do hit deep.
