Laurent Koscielny injury: Lukaku collided with the Arsenal defender (Image: BBC) Manchester United striker Lukaku was up against Koscielny during the FA Cup tie. Belgium international Lukaku had been playing well for United against an Arsenal defence that had already lost Sokratis Papastathopoulos to injury. And Koscielny was forced off injured early in the second half after a collision with Lukaku. The ball was played up United’s right wing to where Lukaku tried to hold it up against Koscielny. The Arsenal defender went to swat the ball into touch and hit the turf during the challenge. And it appeared as though Lukaku then lost his footing, with the boot connecting with Koscielny’s head. It certainly didn’t appear to be deliberate and Lukaku immediately signalled to the bench for the physio to come on. The Arsenal medical team spent a good five minutes checking the Frenchman.Laurent Koscielny injury: Lukaku immediately called for the physio (Image: BBC)Laurent Koscielny injury: Lukaku was ready to hold the ball up for Man Utd (Image: BBC) Koscielny appeared dazed and a bright red bruise had started to form on the side of his face as he staggered slowly off the pitch. Koscielny eventually came off the field after eight minutes of stoppage. And he was replaced by Matteo Guendouzi, while at the same time Mesut Ozil entered the fray for Alex Iwobi. Arsenal were 2-1 down at the time of the incident and were seeking to force a way back into the game.Laurent Koscielny injury: The Arsenal man was down for eight minutes (Image: BBC)Laurent Koscielny injury: The Frenchman required the physios (Image: BBC) Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard had opened the scoring for the Gunners. But Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang halved the deficit before half time. Lukaku himself didn’t last much longer after the Koscielny incident, being replaced by Marcus Rashford. And Sanchez then withdrew - much to the jeers of Arsenal fans - for Anthony Martial.
