SC Hospitality and Tourism Forum: Responding to COVID-19 Hosted on April 27, 2020 by the University of South Carolina's School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Moderated by: UofSC professors Robin DiPietro and Charlie Partlow. Featuring: John Hogan, VP of Design and Project Management, Marriott Hotels Caroline Manning, Hospitality and Events Manager for Augusta National Golf Club Bobby Williams, CEO of Lizards Thicket and SCRLA Chairman Britt Sims, Restaurant Owner and Operator, Chick-fil-A William Dissen, Executive Chef and Owner, The Marketplace, Haymaker and Billy D’s Fried Chicken restaurants. The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the hospitality and tourism industry around the globe and in South Carolina where one in 10 jobs is related to tourism. The University of South Carolina's School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management hosted a series of hospitality and tourism forums to discuss issues, ideas and strategies for dealing with COVID-19 and the recovery that we all hope is soon to follow.
