It stands out in a line-up of standouts in the superhero genre, and season two’s trailer pumped us up like no other. Visually it’s one of the strangest things you'll ever see, where there seems to not be any rules as to how unusual the characters can look. With androids, fish bowl commanded suits, and monkey butlers, who knows who or what can appear next on the series. With that in mind it’s hard to remember who is who and what is what, and that’s why we’ve re-binged the show to recap what we thought was important going into the second season. We sometimes need to be reminded of who is alive, who murdered who, what secret love affairs are brewing, and what rivalries are unresolved. This way, we can pick up right where we left off - at the end of the world thanks to The Apocalypse Suite as well as the inability for the Hargreeves’ family to talk out their feelings. Surely a tribute to the weirdest family in their neighbourhood, Gabriel Ba and Gerard Way’s Graphic Novel Dallas is certainly the inspiration for season two, and we’ll be looking out for details and references that could be clues as to how season two will go.
