Indian Railways vs China: Why Are Our Trains Slower and More Expensive? Hello friends, I'm here with another interesting topic that impacts all of our lives – Indian Railways. I want to highlight two points here. First, Indian Railways is wasting our time. Second, compared to China, ticket prices in Indian Railways are twice as high. Let’s explore these points. Regarding the first point, how is Indian Railways wasting time? We often complain that our trains are always late, and this isn’t limited to old trains. Even the newly introduced Vande Bharat Express trains aren't always on time. Over 30% of trains in India are delayed daily, wasting passengers' valuable time. On the second point, when compared to China's railway ticket prices, Indian fares are twice as expensive. For example, the chair car ticket from Secunderabad to Tirupati on the Vande Bharat Express costs ₹1,680, but Chinese passengers pay much less for similar journeys. This comparison shows that while we pay more in India, we also waste more time.
