Comedy Matters TV's video: Curtis Sliwa Holds Court On Crime In New York City

Curtis Sliwa is a WABC Radio Host and the founder of the Guardian Angels a group of dedicated men and women whose mission is to keep New Yorkers safe as well as people in 130 other cities and 13 countries. Curtis founded the Guardian Angels in 1979 and is personally active to this day. He saved NYC's Restaurant Row back in the 80's from being destroyed by crime, and more recently flooded areas in Brooklyn to combat anti-Semitic attacks that were occurring on a regular basis. He personally risks his own safety on a daily basis and during the New York protests suffered a broken jaw while trying to protect businesses from being looted. Recently he held court in Central Park to address the situation on Manhattan's Upper West Side where three hotels have been filled with homeless men, drug addicts and even some known sex offenders, who were brought in from other areas, at the direction of Mayor DeBlasio without consulting the community, and only blocks from a school. The neighborhood is in an uproar because of the increase in crime, offensive acts done in public, and mothers being accosted and not feeling safe with their children in the streets. Curtis lives in the neighborhood as does the police chief Dermot Shea. His talk was very inspiring and he has already announced his run for Mayor of New York City. He is someone that could definitely save the city from the downward spiral it has been on.
