ComposiMold Reusable Mold Making Material's video: How to Make a Polymer Clay Candle Holder and Soy Wax Lightbulb Candle with ImPRESSive Putty

@How to Make a Polymer Clay Candle Holder and Soy Wax Lightbulb Candle with ImPRESSive Putty
Today I’m going to make a mold of this wooden candle holder using ImPRESSive Putty. ImPRESSive Putty is a re-usable molding putty that let’s you re-make your molds anytime that you want. I am starting off with the Putty from my previous mold of a real leaf. If you haven’t seen that video yet, please check that out. This Putty will re-melt in the microwave in about 12 seconds and then I will let it cool for a couple of minutes before I handle it. Be right back. I’m going to duplicate this wooden candle holder in polymer clay using a 2 part mold. This first part will be the inside of the candle holder. I am going to add insets to the putty so that the other portion of the mold will fit together with it. I will then stick this portion of the mold into the freezer for about 15 minutes to solidify it and cool it. While that is cooling, the rest of the candle holder will require more Putty. I’m using the 6 oz. ImPRESSive Putty size. It comes like this, and I melt in the microwave for about 40 seconds and then let it cool before I touch it. And to the microwave I go. The first portion of the mold after taking it out of the freezer is firm. I now take the soft putty and wrap it around the candle holder base. Now off to the freezer for about 20 minutes. I pull out the original and put the mold back together. I’ve softened the Polymer Clay and I push it into the mold to fill the mold cavity. I’m going to place this in the freezer for about 15 minutes to firm up the Polymer Clay some so it will not deform when I remove it from the clay mold. And here we go. A polymer clay candle holder. Because ImPRESSive Putty is re-usable, I can re-soften this mold anytime I want by placing it back into the microwave. Which is what I do to make the soy wax candle. Same ImPRESSive Putty, just remelted and re-used. What should we make next?
