Nancy Pelosi has embraced Donald Trump’s calls to boost checks for Americans from $600 to $2,000 in the long-awaited next round of COVID-19 stimulus relief, telling the president ‘Let’s do it!’ Earlier Tuesday, Trump seemed to threaten to veto the $900 billion relief package passed by Congress on Monday that approved $600 checks for most Americans – a proposal widely criticized on both sides of the political aisle as being insufficient.
