While tidying up around our raised garden beds last summer, I found this Northern Brown Snake hiding under the landscape plastic. She (I think) did not appreciate me invading her space. As I was filming her, she lashed out at my fingers several times. After just a few minutes of pestering her, I covered her back up and let her be. I did see her several more times that summer hanging around the garden searching for snails and slugs, their preferred food.
