Country Family Homestead's video: Can I Cover This Old Fireplace with a Custom Built-in Cabinet

An unused fireplace takes up space, but what if you could do something with that space? I built this custom cabinet to cover the fireplace perfectly and to also function as an entertainment center with a large spot for a DVD player, gaming console, Wi-Fi router, etc. Then behind the doors are shelves for DVDs, Video games, etc. I made this custom DIY built-in from MDO Plywood and Select Pine for the top. You could use similar techniques to build a mantle shelf or built-ins around a fireplace.
