She grew up with her parents and three siblings, where it was her father who introduced her to the music when she was 10 years old. He was a musician himself. When she was 14, her great love and Suzi Quatro became her great role model. The school's orchestra became her first gambling arena. As an 18-year-old girl, she began to sing and play professionally with a Bulgarian band. where they played around at the Black Sea tourist spots. She eventually got a lot of experience and got a job in a variety show. Russia became the next venue. She also got to play for the Bulgarian president twice. In 1991 she came to Norway for the first time with "Smile Band". They played together for 15 years, all over Norway and Europe. They had many great experiences together, as when in 2001 she was singing and playing with one of her favorites, Bonnie Taylor. She gave her a compliment, which she will forever remember; “You sound more like me than I do”!  In 2003, "Smile Band" broke up, and Valentina started playing around as a troubadour. At Oset 2006, she had the pleasure of meeting Bobby Bare. He invited her up on the stage and they sang and played together. It was a dream to stand in front of so many people singing. She also met Pam Tillis and Paul Young and the joy was also great when she got to play and sing along with Lynn Anderson In 2007 she released her first CD "Why not me". It sold over 16,000 copies and the first gold plate was hung on the wall. Now the second CD is finished, "Comin` down the road", where Valentina is even stronger in her genre country-pop-rock. She has also included Stephen Ackles on a duet, "To a tear becomes a rose". Lyrics: I remember to this day The bright red Georgia clay And how it stuck to the tires After the summer rain Will power made that old car go A woman's mind told me that so Oh how I wish We were back on the road again Me and you and a dog named boo Travelin' and livin' off the land Me and you and a dog named boo How I love being a free man I can still recall The wheat fields of St. Paul And the morning we got caught Robbing from an old hen Old McDonald he made us work But then he paid us for what it was worth Another tank of gas And back on the road again I'll never forget the day We motored stately into big L.A. The lights of the city put settlin' Down in my brain Though it's only been a month or so That old car's buggin' us to go We've gotta get away and get back on The road again
