In the video I'm doing an easy craft project using a thrifted book bought at my local charity shop and this is my first art journal spread to go in it. I'm using black gesso, my Posca pens, Arteza acrylic metallic paints and Arteza gouche paints and a couple of glues. But once you have primed your book pages with black gesso, you can use any art supplies that you have. I really enjoy journaling and have been wanting to really get into art journaling properly for ages. I decided that if I wait to get to a stage when I am doing spreads that are 'perfect', I'll be waiting forever, so I though I'd just have a go. I'll be making more videos like this as I think its the process and enjoying playing that's important, not a polished end result. And, actually, it didn't turn out half bad!
