Welcome to a short tutorial on how to add beads to crochet as you go. This saves the hassle of threading your beads onto your working yarn before you start and means you can decide to add beads as an after thought. You will need beads with a diameter large enough to fit over a small steel hook. I used beads with a 1.5mm internal diameter and a 1mm steel crochet hook to ease the bead onto the yarn. My yarn is Rauma Norwegian wool at a 4ply/fingering weight. Beads can be added as part of any edging - just choose your position and away you go. tutorial beads to crochet
