The Hunterian Museum is located in the University of Glasgow campus where it's been enthralling visitors for over 200 years. The bulk of the collection was granted to the university by William Hunter in 1783, but it didn't officially open until 1807. The collection then moved to its current location in 1870 and it has grown in size ever since. Inside the museum you'll find exhibits from the fields of zoology, archaeology, medicine and much more, and it really is a fascinating place to walk around. The University of Glasgow is also home to a zoology museum, the Hunterian Art Gallery and The Mackintosh House - all great Glasgow attractions, and all free to visit.
