John Knox House on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile is a well-known tourist attraction, described by one architectural historian as ‘improbably picturesque’ which you'll find is quite an accurate description if you ever visit it yourself. This is one of the oldest building in Edinburgh and dates back to 1470 - surprising considering most buildings from that age have been condemned and demolished.
