Craig Yack's video: Amnesia: The Dark Descent 1

@Amnesia: The Dark Descent #1
I tried playing this game about 8 years ago in 2012, but my stress troubles from before then apparently still got to me. The sense of foreboding and isolation kept the game from being enjoyable, so about 90 minutes in, I stopped playing. But, I figured I'd try again and see how far I can get - this first part didn't bother me at all, and thankfully there were still a couple surprises. Sorry for how dark it is most of the time - I'm preserving my oil and tinder boxes, just in case. So you'll probably need to watch in a dark room. Current feedback - the map in a couple places is just a little too complex. Getting lost without a sense of composition to the affair is frustrating. A few landmarks to help guide you would be nice (especially in the Archives, and finding my way to the various doors to other maps), and I doubt it would subtract from the experience - actually, believing you're more familiar with the halls as you're passing through a third time might invite a sense of paying for it with an unexpected scare. I'll admit, the game was a lot scarier when I didn't know what lay ahead. But I know a little bit about what happens after this part, and I know somewhat what the very end is like. As long as I don't find out any more about the game, I should be appropriately nervous after the next part.
