@F-ZERO GX: Snaking ~ Mute City - Serial Gaps - 40"403 【(F)WR】
Good flight besides from one huge mistake... I missed a Shift Boost near the end of Lap 1, before the energy field. Approximately one whole second was lost to that mistake. The boost laps were close to my best boost laps, so I can't really complain about them. Zero mistakes in them, although the first MTS of both those laps were sort of sloppy. In case you didn't notice, a new machine has joined the Snaking scene. It's called "Tornado Panther-V2". When I first started returning on this course at the start of this month, I went with the Tornado Condor-V2, however, its diving performance didn't feel right to me, so I switched to the more heavy Tornado Gantlet-V2. It was too heavy for this course layout, so I decided to try every single body part in the game to see if I could find something more suitable for such a momentum specific course like MCSG. I came to the conclusion that the Panther-V2 was the most optimal machine to use. Its benefits compared to the Tornado Condor-V2 is that it has: -Better dives -Greater ability to maintain speed from Mines -Greater ability to maintain speed in general (MT) -More suitable air strides for this course Worse performance compared to the Condor-V2: -Slower acceleration -Slower strides -Worse ability to MTS (Slide) -More loose cornering ability Overall, the Panther-V2 saves time over the Condor-V2, but not by a large margin. In the end, it might come down to preference between the two, depending on the player's performance. CGN's best laps: 14"800 + 12"599 + 11"492 = 38"891 - Settings: Max Acceleration | (Snaking) *No Side-Attacks Time: 0'40"403 Laps: [16"098 + 12"776 + 11"529] Machine: Tornado Panther-V2 Set on: 17.03.2015 WR to: 04.06.2017 Set in: 60Hz mode Version: PAL Console: Nintendo Wii (GameCube mode) Video Output: RGB 480i Recording Device: SC-512N1-L/DVI Recording Software: AmaRecTV 2.10b - Former WRs: [14.03.2015] 41"118 by CGN [12.03.2015] 41"358 by CGN [05.03.2015] 41"957 by CGN [03.03.2015] 43"348 by CGN [15.09.2010] 43"644 by バトルストリーム - ~Leaderboard~ https://goo.gl/rcmDkS (WR) World Record list: http://fzerocentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=13710 Category rules: http://crazygamenerd.web.fc2.com/FZGX_TA_Rules.html - CGN's Snaking Time Attack Records in F-ZERO GX: http://crazygamenerd.web.fc2.com/FZGX_TA_Snaking.html
