Life Cycle of Mosquito | CSP Mosquitoes are some of the most adaptable and successful insects on Earth and are found in most of the world. Like many insects, the mosquito also goes through separate and distinct stages of its life cycle: egg, larva, pupa and adult. Eggs are laid one at a time or attached together to form the shape of rafts. The larva (plural - larvae) lives in the water and comes to the surface to breathe. The pupal stage is a resting, non-feeding stage of development, but pupae are mobile. After the pupal stage mosquito develops into an adult one.
