Friends, India opener Mayank Agarwal was hit on the head by a short ball from teammate pacer Mohammad Siraj during a practice session ahead of the opening Test against England. Test series is starting from 4th August. Mayank is out of the first Test. Friends, Siraj bowls the fastest among the Indian bowlers who went on the England tour. During practice on Monday, Mayank took his eyes off his short ball, after which the ball hit the helmet in the back of his head. He was feeling a little uncomfortable after opening the helmet and then physio Nitin Patel sat on the ground with him. After this, he left the net with Patel with his hand on the back of his head. When Indian Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was asked about this, he said that Mayank has suffered a head injury. Rahane said, 'Mayank Agarwal has a head injury. The medical team is monitoring them. All other players are fit. In place of Mayank, now KL Rahul can get a chance as an opener. Rahul has opened the innings in most of the Test matches, but these days he prefers to play in the middle-order. Another option for opening batting in the team is Abhimanyu Easwaran of Bengal.
