Sometimes the game will unblur someone before you have enough information to figure out who they are, and other times they remain blurred even when you could figure it much sooner. Both the surgeon and has mate remain blurred until the Cold but you could easily deduce these two far earlier, so the blurring mechanic is not always the best thing to rely upon. Chinese Topmen – Li Huang, Zhang Jie and Hong Li can all be identified by their shoes. Their feet will be sticking out of their Hammock which will have their tags on in part 1 of the Bitter Cold. Match up the numbers to the feet and then to shoes they wear in the ‘Justice at sea’ sketch. Three Russians – Leonid Volkov is the only Russian Topman as seen in Soldiers of the Sea part 1. Aleksei Toporov is seen smoking a pipe in the calling part 1 and the pipe can be seen in the satchel next to him. Alarcus Nikishin is the only Russian left after this. The three runaways - Duncan McKay, Alexander Booth and Nathan Peters can be seen being capsized by the Kraken at 20:59. It's safe to assume they drowned or were eaten. 5 – John Davies can be seen In part 6 of the Calling, looking out from the 4th Mates room. 27 – Zungi Sathi Is a ship steward due to his clothing. Identify him when all other Stewards have been identified. From the hole you can see the gunman being bald, burly with striped clothing, charles Miner. 32 - Davey James is seen wearing a steward uniform and standing next to the 4th mate in the sketch. 34 – Midshipman Thomas Lanke can be identified as the only Midshipman left by process of elimination. 36 – Can be seen wielding a scimitar in part 4 of the soldiers of the sea. This same scimitar is next to his bed in part 2 of the Doom. He is also the only Persian which give a good hint. 37 – Timothy Butement has a tattoo of a woman on his arm. This arm can be seen sticking out of the bunk in Part 1 of the Bitter Cold. 41 – Lee Wei can be seen next to his hammock in part 2 of the doom and is the only surviving Chinese man at that point. 44 – Lewis Walker is the only English Topman left once all others have been identified. 48 – Nathan Peters refers to his brother so he must be one of the brothers. Hammock number 48 is present in the Doom but not number 60 suggesting this Peters is Nathan. 55 – Hamadou Diom is a seaman with a darker complexion in the memories (not easy to notice in the sketch). Theres only two dark skinned seaman, the other being Aleksander Booth. However we hear Aleksander Booth speaking in part 1 of the Doom with an english accent. He must be the only seaman from Sierra Leone. 57 – Aleksander Booth has his Hammock up in part 2 of the Doom Suggesting he was still alive up until that point. 58 – Patrick O’Hagan can be identified in the Calling by being the only Irishman there. 59 – George Shirely is seen in the sketch as being friendly with the Chinese men. Compare the Hammocks in part 2 of the Doom and part 1 of the Bitter Cold.
