When they tried this on my friend, luckily, he was too smart. With his help, I was able to get my hands on their plugins to decompile which allowed me to find out exactly how they work and have some fun along the way. I should mention I didn't actually steal the code. It was available on a public Github repo, available for download, which I took full advantage of.
