Cuba's Automotive's video: 04 Elantra 2 0 Ltr -Timing Belt Water Oil Pump Job -Part 1

This vehicle has an extreme oil leak coming from the drivebelt area, but no visible source of the leak. This leak only occurred while running, so it must be under pressure. Oil pump is located just behind the timing belt area... and the timing belt and components, especially the lower components, were covered in oil. So I concluded, the crank seal which is located in the oil pump assembly/plate, is the probable issue. The owner is also a mechanic, still quite new to the industry and has not done any internal work since trade school. He wasn't comfortable in doing the job himself or anyone in the shop (which will not be mentioned) he works for. He's in the process of getting his ASEs, but in the meantime, needs more hands on experience on certain aspects of vehicles. I'm OK with teaching the younger generation, as long as they take it seriously, are eager to learn, and want to do quality work.
