The Devalaya located in front of the Makumbura bus halt in High Level Road. Those who are traveling towards Ratnapura and along the Expressway used to leave a tribute call "Panduru" at this place. This Devalaya dedicated to Goddess "Patthini". In addition, there are Vishnu (විෂ්ණු), Dedimunda (දැඩිමුන්ඩ) and Suniyam (සුනියම්) Devalaya's. There is an old Bo tree and a Banyan tree which is confined to a small area and there is no Dagaba and a separate Buddha shrine. It is a very quiet place in the midst of stressful surroundings. Located close to Glomark Supermarket, LUX Highway Luxury Residences building and Makumbura Multi Model Transportation Center. When coming towards the Avissavella from Colombo, you can see this place before entering the Expressway on the left. No special parking place. Vehicles can be parked along the side of High Level road. Usually the evenings and Poya days can be crowded. Place is crowded during the evenings and specially in the poya days. But it's quite and calm during the normal hours. Most of the bus drivers and people who travels in highway usually get stops at he're and they ask the loard for his help to coplete their journey without any harm. And most of the locals show respects. This scared place carries out their own යාග & ශාන්ති කර්ම festival by invoking for locals happiness and prosporess once a year. This Dewalaya located before the Highway entrance. A statue of Goddess Paththini Mani is visible to outside. Goddess Paththini is believed to cure illnesses and specially plague diseases. Lot of people come here for religious activities and things to here. Also, bus holt is available infront of this Dewalaya. Sacred Devala named to Goddess Paththini, managed by Makubura Purana Viharaya. Crowded in evening, but rest of the time it is very calm place. Popular among the people in the area. Very populer amoung expressway drivers.
