CurbexUK's video: Exploring Jubilee Colliery

@Exploring Jubilee Colliery
Jubilee Colliery is where I am in this video, its an abandoned coal mine situated in the middle of Crompton and Newhey which are sub counties of Rochdale, Manchester. Originally opened in 1845 all’s that remains now is an abyss of ruins. The site is now a nature reserve where you can go and wonder around the industrial revolutions remaining remnants. Exploring a disused mine was so eye opening to what people used to have to do just to get by. As I said its now a nature reserve and what a beautiful place it is, I actually found this old mine by accident on my way home from Rochdale. I was on the tram home and I seen it through the window and wanted to investigate further so I did and that’s what this video is all about the history of this site and the history of Lancashire Mining. I like to mix History, Abandoned Places and Urbexing but everyone’s different I hope you enjoy the video as it was an astounding Lancashire colliery.
