Mercedes, Mills & Moors - Exploring Abandoned Mill In this episode I travelled to a place called Dobcross where I explored the old abandoned mill which once was home to a Saddleworth family business. They had had the Mills original structure altered for their work many years ago and have been residents there until 2009 when they moved to royton. Oldham has many secrets of the past dotted around the span of the area and Dronsfield Mercedes/Wall Hill Mill is a great example of their historical presence. I also learned after making this video that developers are going to flatten the old houses and mill, replaced by a housing development. Its so sad and depressing that alls the developers want to do is put houses on anything and everything.
