Curiosidades Extrano's video: Home Hardware Pine Bush Cage Bird Feeder and Window Hook

I bought the window hook and the suet block feeder from Home Hardware and both are made by Pine Bush. The window hook supports 5 lbs apparently so I wanted to try to hang something simple as other feeders have gotten knocked down on the second floor. The suet cake that I made with natural peanut butter was too soft so I ended up getting one from Dollarama as it would cause less mess on the roof although I will still probably have to go and sweep it off. The whole reason for this is not only to feed the birds but mainly for entertainment for the cats... to bring the birds closer for them to see. The other feeder I had up was one that I used successfully up north but perhaps a raccoon or a squirrel got into it and was too heavy for the suction cups so I needed to look for something else and this looks like a good product. I like that it's a very strong suction cup with a locking mechanism so I'm hoping it will be able to take the weight although the hook is made out of plastic we shall see. The window hook was working really well for over a month then one morning I went to say hello to the kitties and noticed the suet block on the roof with no sign of the hook. I had to crawl out and go right to the edge of the roof and I'm not sure what critter could have pulled it down but there are plenty though I've never seen them up by second floor windows lol. It also could be a neighbor that hates animals especially wildlife and might have just taken a broomstick and knocked it down. The very tip of the hook was broken off which was cheaply made to begin with and should have been made out of a sturdier plastic or really metal would have been the choice to go but I think that I can fix it and insert a screw hook in place of the cheap plastic.
