Danish rider Jakob Fuglsang had an incredible season in 2019. He startet the season by winning the Vuelta Andalucía. The he became second in strade bianche, loosing out to Julian Alaphilippe. The two of them had great duels in the spring classics. Fuglsang placed 3d, 2end and 1st in Ardennes Classics. He then went on to win Critérium du Dauphiné, and a stage at the Vuelta a Espana. Properly the best season a danish bike rider has ever had.
