Toronto Real Estate Market Update March 2022 - Home sales last month represented the second best result for the month of February - Regional Real Estate Board’s MLS system reported 9,097 - There were 14,147 new listings reported and although this was a 6.6% drop from last year’s number - The supply of listings for low rise type homes was down while the number of new listings for condominium apartments was up (as compared to February of 2021) - The average selling price for all home types is $1,334,522. A 27.7% increase as compared to last February - The average selling price for detached homes increased by 31% year-over-year, townhomes increased by 30.50% and condos increased by 24.6% - A continued lack of supply (especially with substantial immigration levels) has a countering effect to the increasing mortgage costs.
