D L's video: Breathing exercice for mental silence-London-1981

@Breathing exercice for mental silence-London-1981
Here is an exercice of breathing conducted by Shri Mataji in Brompton Square, which is located in Knightsbridge, central Londo, and number 48 was Mother's house. There was, and still is, a free and public programme of Sahaja Yoga meditation every Thursday at the Friends Meeting House in Hampstead, in north London. Mother sometimes went to it in the early 1980's. In the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, pranayama is the fourth discipline of Yoga. The practice of Pranayama is an exercise that alternates inhalation / exhalation and retention of breath. This is a slow breathing (3 to 4 cycles per minute), very regular. In Hatha Yoga, the practice of these techniques can upset the balance of a person, so do not underestimate the adverse effects that might occur. With Hatha Yoga, it is only once we have mastered the asanas (postures) and exercises on the prana that meditation can be addressed effectively. With Sahaja Yoga, when we begin to meditate, breathing slows down naturally and it is much easier to calm the flow of own thoughts with this meditation. This exercise of controlling the breathing is actually an exercise of the attention : bBy putting attention to the heart, the desire gets isolated from other information that come to us and we can then identify it. Then we bathe it in our enlightened attention, means it si a way to surrender it to the Unconscious. more on http://dictionnairesahajayoga.blogspot.fr/
