Today marks the one year anniversary of a very tragic day for the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and our community. On December 31, 2017, Deputy Zack Parrish was shot and killed in the line of duty and four other deputies/officers were shot and injured while trying to get help to a citizen in need. The support of Douglas County community was, and still is overwhelming and we owe them a debt of gratitude. It is their love and support that reminds the men and women of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office of why we put on the badge every day, to serve our wonderful community.
