How to make a planter box of any shape and size that you prefer from wood. Grab yourself a blowtorch and have some fun. Burn it until becomes completely black and cracked. Spray water in places to keep the wood box from igniting. Let it cool off and wipe it down with a cloth. I applied 2 coats of clear varnish and it looks perfect. It’s resembles a glass window letting you see all the details of the burned wood. This very special flower planter box, with its glossy black finish, creates a beautiful contrast when filled with flowers of many different colors.
