▶If you’re in a rush! ✅US: https://amzn.to/3kSmyAe ✅UK: https://amzn.to/3nKIrmL Magic lantern also known as lanterna magica according to the Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_lantern) was developed in the 17th century for entertainment purpose and is a type of image projector that was used with handmade painted figures on a glass with a black background to block the light. Back then they used to project it on a white wall and the source of light was either oil lamb or just a candle. I have bought some biscuits in a tin box. A double deck traditional London bus cookie box. Most of us will throw it away, but for me is a “make something from nothing”or “a trash to treasure” project. The magic lantern idea came to me because I use to have one when I was a child. I do remember how happy I was to project on the wall the panted pictures having a cup of hot chocolate and not showing any interest for the telly. I bet every child, even today with all this technology, will feel the “magic” of this DIY lantern. In my junky box I had a lens from an old spot light and an empty tube from coffee pods that was fitted almost perfect with the lens. A little bit of woodworking, some gold paint, screws, glue, a light torch and voila! Enjoy the show!!! Be creative and I would like to wish you... happy crafting on whatever you make!
