I've been a fan of Karens since I was a small child, listening to AM radio in the back of my parents station wagon, in the early 80's. Her angelic tones are unearthly and unlike any singer before or since. She and her brother crafted some of the finest pop songs of the 1970's, and their impact is still felt today. For this project I wanted to reimagine these songs as if they were written in the 80's. With some modern production flourishes as well. Creating a hybrid sound of both 70's pop, modern Synthwave and 80's Synthpop. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed crafting it for you! With Love, Joshua A.
