Berdasarkan pengalaman sendiri mengenai tanda-tanda awal kerosakan pada kabel pencucuh atau cable plug, engine kereta terasa nak mati apabila tekan minyak atau membuat pecutan dan semakin lama semakin kerap terjadi. Oleh itu, pentingnya untuk mengetahui cara menguji kabel pencucuh dengan tepat supaya tiada lagi keraguan sama ada kabel tersebut masih berfungsi dengan baik atau tidak.
