I received an anonymous e-mail from someone who, it seems, was in the audience one night when I (the understudy) went on for HUEY in the national tour of MEMPHIS the musical. The role was originated by Chad Kimball and was played by Joey Elrose for this tour... and understudied by yours truly, Daniel S. Hines. This is the montage-like song "Radio" from the end of act one. Memphis was penned by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan. Original direction by Christopher Ashley; mounted for this tour by Adam Arian. Original choreography by Sergio Trujillo; mounted for this tour by Jermaine Rembert. Musical direction by Alan Plado.
