Amongst the numerous recordings of "The Ballad Of Davy Crockett" is this 1955 version by The Sons Of The Pioneers, featuring Bob Nolan and Hugh Farr, released by RCA Victor through its Bluebird children's label. By the mid-1950s, Bluebird, which once had been RCA's budget label that subsequently housed such top bandleaders as Artie Shaw and Glenn Miller, had been converted into RCA's kids label.
