Let's go back to June 4, 1960 for this opening number from that night's ABC Network telecast of the "Lawrence Welk Show." We include the opening announcement from Lou Crosby (who was the show's Dodge car commercial spokesman) as well as Lawrence and the boys performing "In The Good Old Summertime." This telecast originated from the Aragon Ballroom at Pacific Ocean Park in Santa Monica, California, which for a decade was the home base for the Champagne Music Makers before moving to the Hollywood Paladium. Look for recent band additions Bob Havens and Neil Levang.
