Daily Tea Sips's video: Mega Church Pastor Bails Out 23 Offenders From Jail

I do not mind calling out the church when they are in the wrong. I am not a respecter of persons. We have to also shed light when the church gets it right. This is one of those cases. Senior Pastor Jamal Bryant and his congregation at New Birth Church along with assistance from Rapper T.I. and VH1 personality Scrapp Delon bailed out over 23 non-violent and first-time offenders. So a few weeks ago the church took up an offering to raise $40,000 for their bailout initiative. The donations exceed their goals. The church and its members raised $120,000. This bailout initiative will help those participants through an eight-week program which includes matching participants with mentors. Some people have commented that the church should have been able to do this on their own without asking the congregation for help. I love stories like this because I believe everyone deserves a second chance. It is also amazing what the church can do when we all come together. You see how billionaires came through and they raised over $700 million dollars for the church in Paris. You see how the donations have started pouring in after people noted the hypocrisy of donation millions to the church in Paris but nothing to the 3 churches in Louisiana that was burned down by a white supremacist and alleged Trump supporter.
