John Singleton Dead At 51 Director John Singleton has died after suffering a massive stroke. 12 days ago it was reported that he checked himself into a hospital after suffering from an unexplained pain. He was in a coma for 12 days. His family decided to take him off life support and he died hours later. We are all familiar with Singleton's work including Poetic Justice, Baby Boy, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Hustle & Flow plus many more. From what is being published Mr. Singleton suffered from Hypertension or high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a silent killer. It is important that we get checked yearly. I hope and pray that his family can keep it civil. There was a report that his daughter and mother were at odds as to who was in control of estate while he was in a coma. It was suggested that mother was trying to exclude the daughters from any decisions that needed to be made. Our hearts go out to his family and friends. Please keep them in your prayers.
