Do Not Purchase Credit Privacy Number Until You Hear This..... Welcome to Daily Tea Sips. Today I want to talk to you about something that is landing a lot of people in some serious trouble. If you haven't heard there is a tactic individuals are using to restore their credit. The first thing they do is obtain a CPN or Credit Privacy Number. This is a nine-digit number that individuals are using in place of the social security number to apply for credit. People are using this nine-digit number to establish a new credit file but it is landing them into serious trouble. Typically this information is being advertised online using sites like Craigslist or other social media sites. Prices for a CPN can go for as low as $50 and as high as $3000+. How the numbers are being generated is a mystery. Some believe the numbers are either being made up, belong to children or the deceased. How grimey. If you think this is legal you might want to do a bit of research because their are people being sentenced to a warning, to probation to up to 30 years in prision. You have committed a federal crime. Most people do not read the fine print on the credit or financing application but if you do read the fine print at the bottom of the application whereby signing your name you agree that the information on the application is correct and true. That CPN number is not true so that one clause is causing a lot of people to face jail-time. Here is the sad part: the fraud investigator does not really care about where you got the number or who sold it to you, they are concerned about the person using the fraudulent information. I am going to link an article and video in the description section below of a lady who used this service, got caught and was facing 30 years in jail. She ended up getting 18 months probation and is currently paying restitution. How did she find the info: someone on Craigslist was offering the service and she paid $1500 for that CPN. Now some people may say this is not fair but CPN's are using by actors,, government officials (Senators) and people in a witness protection program. Why they can use it and you can not is outlined in the clause on your finance application. How is the number being generated? Here is what I will say: anything the government can do you can not do. Period. No questions. Just don't do it. It is easy to get caught up in this type of fraudulent activity. Most people want to take the easy route in repairing their credit. There are credit repair services available to assist you. Don't get caught doing something illegal. It's not worth it.
