Nach einer EU Richtlinie dürfen ab 2019 nur noch Tanker mit zwei Hüllen auf Binnenwasserstraßen fahren. MS Magnolia mit schweizer Flagge ist ein Einhüllentanker. Das Motorschiff löschte am 18.12.2018 die letzte Ladung Heizöl im Frankfurter Osthafen.
