Dan Goes Hiking's video: Backpacking Michigan s Manistee River Loop

Follow along as I FINALLY get back on the trail after a (too) long hiatus. I decided to head back to one of my favorite backpacking destinations within driving distance of Chicago - the Manistee River Loop in Michigan's Manistee National Forest. This is a 20-mile loop and is often started at the Upper River Road Trailhead and hiked clockwise by first taking the North Country Trail, crossing a suspension bridge, then heading south on the Manistee River Trail, which has plentiful (and often beautiful) campsites and views.
